Basketball Wives of LA star Draya Michele was harshly judged and ridiculed, being called a deadbeat mom on twitter, Tuesday, June 4, 2013. Draya Michelle was co-hosting BET’s 106 & Park when they tried to do a good service to her fans by promoting some fan interaction. 106 & Park instructed viewers to tweet any questions they had for her, using the hashtag (#) #AskDraya. However, the Q&A didn’t go as the show planned when many tweeters took this as an opportunity to publically bash the reality celeb.

Twitter talks were nothing less than harsh after Draya tweeted that she is about to move her mother and son to California with her. Viewers were reminded of her plagued past of in 2010, and twitter let her have it.The Draya slander went on for hours on end, I can only imagine if 106 & Park found any positive tweets from #AskDraya. Twitter has no chill!

In 2010 Draya was found guilty of child endangerment for leaving her 7-year-old son in Wyomissing, PA while she was busy clapping in a strip club. However, Draya did discuss this on the first season of BBWLA and denied all the rumors, but this criminal docket says otherwise. michele-report
It was a terrible idea for BET to bring Draya on the show in the first place. Draya, a reality star on a show filled with drama, has the type of drama in her past that people would be angry about. They just gave the people a platform to take a shot at her. The media department for 106 & Park needs to be fired for the backlash Draya got and is getting for their failed attempt to reach out to her fans.

Popular opinion might say that Draya Michele is a deadbeat mom, but in reality she isn’t really any different from a lot of single mothers out there. As long as she is; putting food in their mouth, providing a roof over their head, and putting clothes on their back, she is supporting her family. Draya, letting her mother watch her son at intervals, while she is off establishing her career is not a far-fetched nor uncommon story. Some of the women who are judging her are the same ones who go clubbing every night and leave lil Dae Dae at home with they momma’s. All in all, parents of mothers have always helped raise parents kids, where do you think “Big Mama’s” came from?! People should be more concerned with where the father is at?

Is Draya a deadbeat mom or is she a single mother doing what she has to do to provide her son a better life?
